At Rocky Mountain Endodontics, we understand that many of you have long-standing fears from bad experiences at the dentist. The very thought of a root canal may send you into a panic attack. Others may be embarrassed about the condition of their teeth or have been in so much pain they simply haven’t slept for days. No matter what your situation, sedation dentistry can help. We will discuss with you the various levels of sedation.
Anxiolytics - such as Valium can be prescribed prior to your appointment. This allows you to come into the office in a more relaxed, reasonable state of mind. These drugs do require you to have a confidant (escort) present to drive you to and from your appointment and help you make any necessary decision since you would be in a presumed altered state of mind.
N2O2 - AKA laughing gas. This method is very quick and can instantly put you at ease. .
Oral Conscious - there are many ways to perform this service; essentially we dissolve the appropriate amount of drug under your tongue, all the while monitoring your vitals. This allows a deeper, memory free experience. It is very safe and if necessary,we can instantly reverse the given drugs. This service also requires a confidant to escort you to and from your appointment.
IV Sedation - we are pleased to have access to an anesthesiologist who will come and sedate you in the comfort of our own operatory. This service provides the most complete, profound memory free level of sedation. Sweet Dreams…
